John at the Clark College Jazz festival. He was a featured soloist.
Meanwhile, back at the hotel,
John pulled a prank on a room of freshmen boys.
He snuck in their room, filled their bathtub full of water
and then placed a bucket full of gold fish in the bathtub.
John had transported the gold fish all the way from Spokane.
The prank was a big hit. Everyone thought it was fun,
easily cleaned up, and very creative.

John at the Inland Northwest Solo and Ensemble competition.
John took first place in the trombone division.
This qualified him to compete in the State Solo competition.

East Canyon February

We had a great trip to East Canyon in February. Other than the dumping of snow and the power being off ALL day on Sunday, it was great. It was an adventure "cooking" with no power and playing games by candle light. It got a little cold in the condo and the kids wanted to go to bed when it got dark.
